My New Job

Tomorrow I start a new job. I have been unemployed since moving here last July. I have made use of the time off to redecorate and do some minor renovations. I seem to spend anywhere from six to eight months unemployed after each move. After that, I grow bored with puttering around. I don't enjoy housework that much to make it an art. I'd rather have that 'work' excuse and pay someone else to do it. My new job is in a private lab and that will be a new thing for me. I've always worked in hospital labs that operate on a 24/7 schedule. Private labs, generally, don't deal with critically ill patients so are not required to provide 24 hour service. Being un-unionized, they also don't pay as well as government-funded labs but the hours are better. Ever the pragmatist, my husband says it's more than I'm making now and we do have a number of larger renovation projects that we'd like to do.
